If you have been to physical therapy or chiropractic before, I am sure you are familiar with the home exercise program. As difficult and annoying as it may be to do your daily exercises they are crucial to your recovery!
As much as we would love to see you everyday, unfortunately that’s not possible so it’s a team effort to make sure you can achieve your ultimate goals. Our role is to get you back on your feet and show you the best tools for you to maintain it as much as possible.
So, what should you expect in your home exercise program?
You should expect that it is tailored to you and your current issue. You should expect that you have been instructed to perform them with correct form. You should expect that your physical therapist or chiropractor checks in with you to make sure that you are able to perform your home exercise program. Finally, you should expect that it is a feasible amount of exercises to fit into a daily routine.
What do we expect of you? You perform your home exercise program as often as you have agreed with the purpose of achieving your goals!
The key to a good home exercise program is making sure that you feel comfortable performing the exercises on your own and have time in your day to do them! Make sure to communicate with your health professional because you both have the same goal -- achieving your goals!
