With 2016 coming to a close and 2017 right around the corner there is the usual talk of New Year resolutions. Most people want to be happier, healthier, get their summer body by March, or many other possibilities.
One of the biggest steps you can take in maintaining your health is eating better, regardless if your goal is to look better or feel better. Speaking from experience, I lost 15 pounds in 3 months just by changing what I ate. During the process and after I FELT GREAT!
When it comes to eating healthier there are 2 big misconceptions. One of which is “I can eat whatever I want as long as I work out harder”. The second is “As long as the food I eat is healthy or organic I’ll be ok”.
The reasons why this is not the case is because it is not just what you eat, but also when and how much you eat. For example if you have a completely organic breakfast with 2 eggs, some spinach, and a cup of oatmeal, it wouldn’t make sense for it to be the only meal you eat for the day. While the breakfast you had was pretty healthy, you didn’t eat enough for the rest of the day. The same thing could be said if you don’t have your first meal until 10/11 in the morning even if it is organic and gluten free.
For example it doesn’t make sense if you have a brand new 2017 Ferrari and only put gas in it when you feel like it or you use diesel when you do fill up. You couldn’t expect the top performance of the car if you don’t take care of it.
The same thing goes for the human body, if you put garbage in then you will get garbage performance as a result. This is usually seen as being tired, sluggishness, laziness, or unmotivated.
Take control of your 2017 and lets jump start your body from the inside out!
