Dr. Erika Olofson Physical Therapist in Pasadena
Meet Dr. Erika Olofson, one of our passionate physical therapists who brings a rare blend of clinical depth, genuine warmth, and the kind of energy that makes you actually look forward to your appointments.
Born in China and adopted at just 13 months old, Erika grew up to become the kind of person who moves toward people which is exactly what great physical therapy requires. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University, after completing her B.S. in Exercise Science at UC Irvine. And she didn't stop there! Erika is completed her Kaiser Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency, one of the most rigorous clinical training programs in the region, where she's sharpened her skills in orthopedics, complex case reasoning, and individualized patient care.
What sets Erika apart is her range. She's treated athletes returning to sport, patients recovering from concussions and vestibular disorders, skilled nursing cases, and workers' comp patients, all while staying grounded in one core belief: that every person's story matters just as much as their diagnosis. She's also served as an adjunct instructor at Azusa Pacific University, so yes, she's been training the next generation of PTs. No pressure or anything.
When she's not helping patients move better and feel stronger, you'll find Erika chasing sunsets in Hawaii or hiking through Zion National Park, shooting photos, strumming guitar, hitting the gym, or grabbing coffee; probably in that order. She's a Lakers fan, a Nobody Wants This binger, a die-hard She's the Man loyalist, and someone who genuinely can't pick a favorite singer but will happily shuffle between pop and country all day long. Oh, and her go-to meal? Ry's Poke. Respect.
Erika is the kind of clinician who listens first, thinks deeply, and shows up for her patients with both precision and heart. We're thrilled to have her as part of the HealthFit family.
