Inside a Longevity Blueprint: Exactly What Happens in the 6-Test Assessment

If you have been thinking about doing a Longevity Blueprint, you probably have the same question every other high-performer asks before they commit:

  • What actually happens in there?

  • What tests do you run?

  • How long does it take?

  • What do I walk out with at the end?

I want to answer all of that in one place. No mystery, no jargon, no sales spin. Just the real walkthrough, the same one I would give you if you called the front desk right now.

I am Dr. Jason Han, Doctor of Physical Therapy, sports rehab specialist, former U.S. National Team Taekwondo athlete, and co-founder of HealthFit in Pasadena. I have been working with patients for close to two decades, and for over ten years I have worked inside professional sports organizations at the highest levels of the game. The Longevity Blueprint is what happens when you take the precision I learned in that world and make it available to people who are done guessing about their own bodies. People who are tired of the kitchen-sink approach, tired of the afternoon energy crashes, tired of catching themselves in a photo from a year or two ago and thinking, "is that really me?" People who want to work smarter, not harder, as they age.

Here is exactly what the Blueprint looks like, start to finish.

The one-morning testing panel: about 60 minutes, six assessments

You arrive at HealthFit in Pasadena. One location. One morning. We run the full testing panel in about 60 minutes, which is a deliberate design choice. High-performing adults do not have time for six different appointments across six different specialists in three different ZIP codes. So we built the Blueprint to give you a clinical-grade, sports-science-grade snapshot of your whole system in a single visit.

Six assessments. One morning. Each one measures a different dimension of how your body is actually performing right now, not how old your driver's license says you are.

Test 1: VO2 Max and metabolic analysis with PNOE

We start with the big one. VO2 Max and metabolic analysis is the gold standard for cardiovascular fitness and how your body actually produces energy. It is, hands down, the single most informative test we run.

We use a clinical system called PNOE. You wear a mask that measures every breath, in and out. Oxygen in. Carbon dioxide out. From that simple gas exchange, we can read the internal machinery.

We begin with a ten-minute resting metabolic rate test. Quiet breathing, no effort. We find out exactly how many calories your body burns just to keep you alive. That one number alone changes how you eat for the rest of your life, because almost every nutrition plan in the world is written for a generic person with generic math. Yours will be written for you.

Then you step onto a bike or treadmill, and we slowly ramp up the intensity. We measure how your body uses oxygen at every stage of effort. By the time you step off, we know your exact heart rate zones: your fat-burning zone, your aerobic zone, your threshold. We know

whether your metabolism is flexible or stuck. And we calculate your biological age, based on how your body actually performs under measured load, not a guess from a checklist.

Test 2: 3D movement scan (MOTI)

Next, 3D movement scan. We use a system called MOTI. You move through a series of postures and patterns, and the system captures your body in three dimensions.

This is where we see the things you cannot see in a mirror. Where you compensate. Where you are asymmetrical. Where you are leaking power. Where you are quietly setting yourself up for an injury six months from now that looks random but is actually the logical end of a pattern that started years ago.

For people who lift, run, play, or sit at a desk for ten hours a day, this test is worth its weight in gold. It tells us what your body is going to break down first if we do nothing.

Test 3: Body composition (what your body is actually made of)

Then, body composition. Lean muscle mass. Body fat. Visceral fat. Water balance.

This is not a bathroom scale. It is a clinical measurement that tells us what your body is actually made of. The parts of you that predict how well you age: how much muscle you are carrying, how much fat is sitting around your organs (visceral fat is the dangerous kind), and whether you are properly hydrated at the cellular level.

Two people can weigh the same and age completely differently. Body composition tells us which one you are.

Tests 4 and 5: Strength and functional performance

Strength and function are two tests, but they belong together. Both answer the same question: how capable is your body, really?

On the strength side, we test grip strength, which is one of the single strongest predictors of how long you will live, not how hard you can squeeze a handle. We test your lower-body output. We test your core endurance. These are the numbers that tell us how strong your frame truly is.

On the function side, we look at single-leg balance, sit-to-stand performance, dead hang, and push-ups. These are not gym vanity metrics. They are the movements that predict how independent you will be in your 70s, 80s, and 90s. How well you get out of a chair. How

well you catch yourself when you slip. How well you carry a grandchild, groceries, a suitcase, a life.

If you want to stay the person your family leans on for the next 40 years, these are the numbers that determine whether you can.

Test 6: Reaction time (a brain-health marker)

The last assessment is the quietest and, for a lot of people, the most surprising. Reaction time.

It is a simple test, but it tells us how fast your nervous system is processing the world around you. It is a powerful marker of brain health, one of the earliest things to change when something is off, and one of the most trainable once we know where you stand.

Six tests. About an hour. Done.

The Results Consult: where data becomes a plan

Data without a plan is noise. So the testing is only half of the Blueprint. The other half is the Results Consult.

We schedule you back, and you and I sit down, one on one. Just the two of us. No rush. No handoff to a technician. Just you, your numbers, and me.

This is where I use what I call the Martial Arts of Listening. Listening with my ears (what you are telling me). Listening with my eyes (what your body is telling me). Listening with my brain (what the data is telling me, and how all three tie together). The goal is not just to understand what your body is doing, but what your life is asking of it, your work, your family, the demands you actually face every week.

We walk through every result. I tell you where your body is ahead of the curve. I tell you where it is behind. I tell you what to prioritize first, what to stop doing, and what the next test is that we should look at together.

By the end of our time, you understand why you have been feeling off. Why the afternoon energy dip hits when it does. Why body composition has not been moving even though you have been "eating clean." Why recovery has been taking longer than it used to. Not because you are aging. Because your body is telling you something specific, and now you have the data to respond to it on purpose.

That is the shift the Blueprint is built for. From guessing to knowing. From throwing the kitchen sink at it and hoping something sticks, to actually having data to back up every decision and track its progress.

What you leave with

You leave the Results Consult with five concrete deliverables. Not ideas. Not "we will email you some tips." Five things you can use starting the next morning.

1. Your biological age. The one calculated from how your body actually performs, not from a checklist.

2. A branded Longevity Blueprint, personalized to you. Your full assessment written up in a clean, shareable document you can come back to any time.

3. A training zones card. Your exact heart rates for every type of workout, from easy recovery to full effort. No more guessing whether

you are training the right system.

4. Access to the PNOE app.Your personalized nutrition targets and fitness guidelines, in your pocket, tied directly to your test results.

5. Access to our Longevity Foundations course. So you are never building your plan in a vacuum. You get the context, the "why," and the education that sits underneath the numbers.

From there, you have options. Some people take the Blueprint and run with it on their own, that is our Foundations path. Some want ongoing accountability: quarterly retesting, a fitness coach keeping them on track, a feedback loop. That is Performance. Some want the full concierge experience with me directly, including peptides and hyperbaric oxygen folded in. That is Elite. No pressure. No upsell. The data tells us which level of support actually makes sense for you and you choose from there.
